A face standard jet nozzle is a type of return fitting, likely used in pools or spas, that has a flat or 'face' front surface. The 'standard' implies it's a common, basic model. It may or may not have an adjustable eyeball; the 'jet' designation suggests it's designed to produce a focused stream of water, possibly for spa jets or for providing a stronger current in a specific area of a pool.
The key difference is the face design and the water stream. A standard eyeball nozzle has a protruding eyeball for directionality.
